Current Director - Communications Bureau
The Communications Bureau is led by Director Phyllis Applin who is 28 year veteran of the Livingston County Sheriff's Office. The bureau is made up of 14 full-time and five part-time Telecommunicators, 7 Senior Civilian Dispatchers and one Communication's Specialist.
Telecommunicators are responsible for handling all incoming calls and requests for assistance and dispatching the appropriate police, fire or EMS unit in an efficient, organized and professional manner.

Dispatchers work 8.5 hour shifts. All education is paid for.
All training is included. No college required.
HS degree or GED required.
