ABOUT US
The Livingston County Sheriff's Office is Livingston County's primary Law Enforcement agency covering a total of 640 sq. miles of land area and 8.5 sq miles of waterways.. The Sheriff's Office is located at the County Seat in Geneseo. The Office of the Sheriff is the only Law Enforcement Official elected by the people, and that office has been diligently protecting the citizens of Livingston County since 1821

Our Leadership
The Sheriff's Office is lead by Sheriff Tom Dougherty, and Undersheriff Matthew Bean.
The office is divided up into 4 separate bureaus lead by 3 Chief Deputies and one Director.
