Current Chief Deputy - Police Services Bureau
Chief Deputy Rittenhouse is a 28 year member of the Sheriff's Office. He began his career in as a Deputy in the Correctional Services Bureau. Rittenhouse eventually transferred to the Police Services Bureau where he ultimately was promoted to the rank of Investigator, and then Chief Deputy.

The Police Services Bureau is tasked with protecting and serving the citizens of Livingston County and is comprised of the Patrol Division and Criminal Investigations Division.

Ryan Swanson
Captain Swanson leads seven Sergeants, 33 full-time deputies, and 33 part-time deputies, most of whom patrol the county’s 640 square miles.
The Patrol Division includes multiple specialty units including the Marine Patrol, Highway Patrol, and Stop DWI unit. The Patrol Division services 17 townships and 9 villages within the County

Matthew Orman
The Criminal Investigations Division is comprised of six Investigators and the Forensic Identification Unit (FIU) Sergeant. Captain Matthew Orman is in command of the Division.

The Criminal Investigations Division has many responsibilities including, but not limited to: major crime and general investigations, forensic evidence collection, sex offender management and monitoring, internal affairs, and applicant investigations. In addition, CID also oversees the School Resource Deputies.
