FELONY ARREST IN THE TOWN OF GENESEO

On October 8th, 2026 at approximately 2:15 pm, Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a business in the Town of Livonia for the reported domestic incident that occurred in the Town of Geneseo. Upon arrival, Deputies met with a male individual who advised that he had gotten into a domestic incident with a female who was identified as 19-year-old Haylee Space of Avon.
It is alleged through the investigation that Space had intentionally caused damage to a vehicle owned by the male victim during the domestic incident.
Space was arrested by Deputy Jacob Vandewalker and charged with felony Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree and violation Harassment in the Second Degree.
Space was transported and turned over to Central Booking Deputies at the Livingston County Jail for arrest processing and pre-arraignment detention. She was later arraigned at the Livingston County Centralized Arraignment Part (LC-CAP) at the Livingston County Jail before Town of West Sparta Justice Mahany. The Judge did release Space on her own recognizance, as the offenses do not qualify for bail under the NYS Bail Reform Act.The Livingston County Public Defender’s Office was present and represented Space at the court arraignment for her defense. The Livingston County District Attorney’s Office was notified and did also appear to represent the People.
