FELONY ARREST IN THE TOWN OF GENESEO

On May 3rd, 2026 at approximately 10:00 pm, Deputy Jacob Cicero was assigned to the Sheriff’s Office STOP DWI Unit when he conducted a traffic stop on Lakeville Road after observing violations of the NYS Vehicle and Traffic Law. The Deputy made contact with the operator, who was identified as 30-year-old Dahmeer Floyd of Albany, NY.
The Deputy suspected that there was drug activity in the vehicle and conducted a roadside drug investigation. As a result of the investigation, Floyd was found to be in possession of MDMA. There were also multiple pieces of drug paraphernalia located inside the vehicle.
Floyd was arrested and charged with felony Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, felony Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree, Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia in the Second Degree and violations of the NYS Vehicle and Traffic Law.
Floyd was transported and turned over to Central Booking Deputies at the Livingston County Jail for arrest processing and pre-arraignment detention. He was later arraigned at the Livingston County Centralized Arraignment Part (LC-CAP) at the Livingston County Jail before Town of Conesus Justice Coyne. The Judge did remand Floyd to the custody of the Sheriff without the possibility of bail due to him having two or more prior felony convictions.
The Livingston County Public Defender’s Office was present and represented Floyd at the court arraignment for his defense. The Livingston County District Attorney’s Office was also present to represent the People.
