FELONY ARREST IN THE TOWN OF SPRINGWATER AND NUNDA

In October of 2025, the Sheriff’s Office was contacted by employees of two separate businesses located in the Town of Springwater and Nunda in regards to a possible fraud. At that time, Sheriff’s Investigators conducted an inquiry into the allegations.
It is alleged through the investigation that 33-year-old Nicholas Hendricks presented and used counterfeit $100.00 dollar bills to purchase various items at both businesses.
On August 26th, 2026, Sheriff’s Investigator James Merrick and Sergeant Danielle Fensken arrested and charged Hendricks with three counts of felony Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument in the in the First Degree, three counts of felony Scheme to Defraud in the First Degree, three counts of Conspiracy in the Fourth Degree, and three counts of misdemeanor Petit Larceny.
Hendricks was transported and turned over to Central Booking Deputies at the Livingston County Jail for arrest processing and pre-arraignment detention. Hendricks was later arraigned at the Livingston County Centralized Arraignment Part (LC-CAP) at the Livingston County Jail before Town of Geneseo Justice Houston. The Judge did remand Hendricks to the Custody of the Sheriff without the possibility of bail due to him having two or more prior felony convictions.
The Livingston County Public Defender’s Office was present and represented Hendricks at the court arraignment for his defense. The Livingston County District Attorney’s Office was also present to represent the People.
