FELONY ARREST IN THE TOWN OF YORK

On June 6th, 2026 at approximately 8:05 pm, Deputy Vincent Molisani of the Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division attempted to conduct a traffic stop on River Road in the Town of York after observing violations of the NYS Vehicle and Traffic Law. The vehicle failed to stop and did attempt to flee. After a short pursuit, the vehicle did pull into a residence on Main Street in the Town of York.
Deputies did take the operator of the vehicle as well as a passenger into custody at the residence where the vehicle stopped. The operator of the vehicle was identified as 34-year-old Cameron Velazquez of Mt. Morris and the passenger was identified as 49-year-old Amber Torregrossa of York.
Torregrossa was charged with felony Tampering with Physical Evidence, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree, Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia in the Second Degree and Obstructing Governmental Administration in the Second Degree.
Velazquez was charged with Unlawful Fleeing in the Third Degree, Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia in the Second Degree, Obstructing Governmental Administration in the Second Degree, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the Second Degree and violations of the NYS Vehicle and Traffic Law.
Both Torregrossa and Velazquez were transported and turned over to Central Booking Deputies at the Livingston County Jail for arrest processing and pre-arraignment detention. The pair were later arraigned at the Livingston County Centralized Arraignment Part (LC-CAP) before Town of Caledonia Justice Mackay. The Judge did release both Torregrossa and Velazquez on their own recognizance as the offenses do not qualify for bail under the NYS Bail Reform Act.
The Livingston County Public Defender’s Office was present and represented both Defendants at the court arraignments for their defense. The Livingston County District Attorney’s Office was also present to represent the People.
