FELONY ARREST IN THE TOWN OF SPRINGWATER AND NUNDA

In October of 2025, the Sheriff’s Office was contacted by employees of two separate businesses located in the Town of Springwater and Nunda in regards to a possible fraud. At that time, Sheriff’s Investigators conducted an inquiry into the allegations.
It is alleged through the investigation that 28-year-old Teandra George presented and used counterfeit $100.00 dollar bills to purchase various items at both businesses.
On August 11th, 2026, Sheriff’s Investigator James Merrick and Sergeant Danielle Fensken arrested and charged George with three counts of felony Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument in the in the First Degree, three counts of felony Scheme to Defraud in the First Degree, three counts of Conspiracy in the Fourth Degree, and three counts of misdemeanor Petit Larceny.
George was transported and turned over to Central Booking Deputies at the Livingston County Jail for arrest processing and pre-arraignment detention. George was later arraigned at the Livingston County Centralized Arraignment Part (LC-CAP) at the Livingston County Jail before Town of Leicester Justice Durbin. The Judge did release George on her own recognizance as the offenses do not qualify for bail under the NYS Bail Reform Act.
The Livingston County Public Defender’s Office was present and represented George at the court arraignment for her defense. The Livingston County District Attorney’s Office was also present to represent the People.
The investigation is still ongoing and there are additional suspects being sought.
