FELONY ARREST IN THE TOWN OF AVON

AVON - Sheriff Thomas J. Dougherty reports the arrest of a Livingston County resident on felony drug charges following an investigation by the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office.

On September 21^st, 2026 at approximately 4:30 pm, Sheriff’s Sergeant Mitchell McGee conducted a traffic stop on East Avon Lima Road in the Town of Avon, for a violation of the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law. Sergeant McGee met with the male operator, who was identified as 24-year-old, Jaden Inboune from Lima, NY.

During the course of the traffic stop, Sergeant McGee observed narcotics inside the vehicle in plain view. Deputy Matthew VanCuran was requested to the scene to assist with the investigation roadside. As a result of the drug investigation, Inboune was found to be in possession of a quantity of cocaine.

Inboune was arrested and charged with felony Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree, a Class C-Felony, and a violation of the NYS Vehicle and Traffic Law.

Inboune was transported and turned over to Central Booking Deputies at the Livingston County Jail for arrest processing and pre-arraignment detention. Inboune was later arraigned at the Livingston County Centralized Arraignment Part (LC-CAP) at the Livingston County Jail before Town of York Justice Porter. The Judge did release Inboune on his own recognizance, as the offenses do not qualify for bail under the NYS Bail Reform Act.

The Livingston County Public Defender’s Office was present and represented Inboune at the court arraignment for his defense. The Livingston County District Attorney’s Office also appeared to represent the People.
