On July 16th, 2026, Sheriff’s Investigators arrested 42-year-old, Anthony Holmquist from Mexico, NY on two counts of Felony Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument in the Second-Degree.Â
Sheriff’s Investigators determined that Holmquist was involved in a multi-county check washing scheme that started in Orleans County. Holmquist was identified as the individual who cashed multiple forged checks from the Town of Carlton at various financial institutions throughout Livingston County.
Holmquist was transported and turned over to Central Booking Deputies at the Livingston County Jail for arrest processing and pre-arraignment detention. Holmquist was later arraigned at the Livingston County Centralized Arraignment Part (LC-CAP) at the Livingston County Jail before Town of Lima Justice Harris.
