On June 12th, 2026 at approximately 6:57 pm, Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a residence in the Town of Groveland after it was reported that a female had shown up at the residence and was suspected of driving there while being in an intoxicated state.Â
Deputies arrived on scene and made contact with the female, who was identified as 54-year-old Kelli Harvey of Geneseo. During the initial encounter with Harvey, Deputies suspected that Harvey was possibly under the influence of alcohol. Deputy Hayden Strobel, of the Sheriff’s Office STOP DWI Unit responded to the scene and conducted a DWI investigation, which included the performance of standardized field sobriety tests. At the conclusion of the initial investigation which included standardized field sobriety testing, Harvey was taken into custody for DWI.
Harvey was offered the opportunity to submit to a chemical test to determine her blood alcohol content (BAC) and Harvey did refuse to submit to a chemical breath test.
A records check revealed that Harvey had been convicted of a DWI related offense in 2023, making this arrest a felony. Harvey was charged with felony Driving While Intoxicated.
Harvey was transported and turned over to Central Booking Deputies at the Livingston County Jail for arrest processing and pre-arraignment detention. Harvey was later arraigned at the Livingston County Centralized Arraignment Part (LC-CAP) at the Livingston County Jail before Town of Nunda Justice Morris. The Judge did release Harvey on her own recognizance as the offense does not qualify for bail under the NYS Bail Reform Act.
The Livingston County Public Defender’s Office was present and represented Harvey at the court arraignment for her defense. The Livingston County District Attorney’s Office was also present to represent the People.
Assisting with the investigation for the Sheriff’s Office was Deputy Alyssa Cornelius and the New York State Police.
